Bid by telephone, commission or online. Sheppard’s sales are held live in the saleroom at Durrow, Co. Laois, with viewing in the days before each auction.
Commission bids
If instructed we will execute bids and advise intending purchasers. The service is free. Lots will always be bought as cheaply as is allowed by other bids and reserves.
Bids, when placed by telephone, are accepted only at the sender’s risk, and must be confirmed by letter.
Inspect before you bid
Each buyer by making a bid for a lot acknowledges that they have satisfied themselves fully before bidding, by inspection or otherwise, as to the physical condition and description of the lot, including whether it is damaged or has been repaired or restored.
Although every effort is made to report damage and restoration, absence of condition does not imply a lot is free from damage.
- View — attend the preview, or ask us about a lot.
- Bid — in the room, by telephone, by commission or online.
- Pay — all purchases are to be paid for the evening of sale.
- Collect — paid lots are removed at the buyer’s risk and expense.
